The ALGOA+4 International Summit on Organic Agriculture Policy
The Asian Local Governments for Organic Agriculture (ALGOA) is a sub organization of IFOAM Asia and works with over two hundred local governments in Asia to promote the expansion of organic agriculture. Every year, the annual ALGOA Summit is held in Goesan county, South Korea, the holder of ALGOA presidency, and is attended by government leaders, researchers, advocates and practitioners from all over Asia.
This year , the ALGOA + 4 International Summit on Organic Agriculture Policy will be held on September 18th – 21st in Goesan County, South Korea. More than a hundred foreign guests will be present at the Summit with participation from over all the continents – the first time ALGOA has gone global.
Representatives from international agencies such as the FAO, local and foreign governments will grace the historic occasion. The IFOAM Organics International and IFOAM Asia board will be also be present as well as representatives from the regional bodies including the farmer representatives from the Intercontinental Network of Organic F arming Organizations (INOFO).
Goesan County is the holder of ALGOA Presidency for 2017 - 2019

The 2019 ALGOA Organic Foundation Course was successfully held last April 24th - May 1st, 2019 in Goesan County, South Korea. Goesan, as the seat of presidency for ALGOA, hosted 21 trainees from 10 countries and territories.
